Every day we work to identify the most innovative and groundbreaking farmers, scientists, and engineers who are defining the future of agriculture. The Fall Line Summit, held once every other January, is where we bring these selected leaders together for three days of technical talks and winter activities. Participants alternate between being students and teachers, teammates, and friendly competitors in a diverse community that shares a common thread – they live above technology in their daily lives, creating and guiding it instead of being guided by it.
Farming is one of the few industries where an annual period of preparation so distinctly pulls one back into a time of strategy and study. By placing the Summit at Sundance Resort in the deep winter, we magnify this effect.
Unlike conference gatherings where participants opt in and out of events, we move through the Summit together, with esprit de corps, sharing in a challenging program. The subjects covered include hardware, software, climate, biotech, and farm operations, approached from both practical and academic perspectives. The Summit provides a live forum to advance our vision of unlocking synergies between farming, technology, and conservation. Changing settings for technical discussions, sports, and meals generate invigorating interactions and insights. The Summit leaves its mark; it becomes something that is recognized by others who have shared in this special time in the Wasatch Mountains.
