In 2019, Yanniv was chosen for Forbes 30 Under 30: Science and Healthcare Europe, and as American Society of Plant Biologists scholar. Before his PhD, Yanniv worked on multiple research projects spanning different areas of plant biology from genetic inheritance at Harvard University, to epigenetics at the University of Cambridge, to CRISPR and genetics at the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Prior to joining Fall Line Capital, Yanniv spent over two years at AgFunder, a Silicon Valley-based VC firm that invests in AgTech and FoodTech companies, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, content creation and portfolio support.
In addition to his PhD, Yanniv holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Biology from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, to which he was admitted with a “Normalien” fellowship.
